On September 8, 2009, Shell invited auto enthusiasts across the country to enter the Shell V-Power® "Fuel My Passion" Contest and Sweepstakes for a chance to win a year's worth of Shell V-Power premium gasoline or a $250 Shell Gift Card. By entering the contest, consumers were also entered into a sweepstakes to win a 2010 Harley-Davidson® Fat Boy® Lo Motorcycle apart from the contest prizes.

Consumers were required to submit a creative photo, with the contestant giving the "V" sign (symbolizing Shell V-Power) along with their ride (car, motorcycle, boat, RV, etc.), along with a short story about "How Shell V-Power fuels their passion for their ride."

You have the "V" power to decide the winner! All entries will be judged by a panel of "Passionate Experts" and scaled down to three top-scoring entrants in each category. From October 20 to November 3, 2009, Shell invites YOU to vote for the most compelling Shell V-Power "Fuel My Passion" finalist in each of the five categories including:

- Modified Car
- Motorcycle
- Sports/Luxury Car
- Truck or SUV
- Other Premium Rides

You can vote once per category, per day and decide which Shell V-Power "Fuel My Passion" contest entrant should drive away with the ultimate prize. Each time you vote, you will be automatically entered into the "Shell V-Power Fuel My Passion Voting Sweepstakes" for a chance to win a $50 Shell Gift Card! Four winners will be chosen at random each day of the voting period, so be sure to come back everyday to vote for your favorite! (Note: limit one prize per person)

At the end of the voting period, each category will have a grand prize winner who will win a year's worth of Shell V-Power premium gasoline. The two runners up in each category will receive a $250 Shell Gift Card.
