Two Ferrari 599 GTB Fioranos kicked off their 20,000 mile journey on August 24 from Belo Horizonte, Brazil to begin the Panamerican 20,000. Fueled by Shell V-Power and protected by Quaker State Q synthetic lubricant, the cars will travel north across the South American and North American continents for three months, passing through a total of 16 nations. Throughout the tour, visitors at select Shell stations have the chance to see the caravan and check out the Ferrari 599 first-hand.
So far the nine-vehicle caravan has traveled through South America from Brazil to Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru and Nicaragua and then on to Mexico. Currently, the tour is making their way across Mexico before they hit the U.S. and reach their final destination in New York on November 17.
Shell, which has fueled six Ferrari Formula One Constructors' Championships, is continuing its historic relationship with Ferrari by supporting the three-month Panamerican 20,000. The journey will stretch across much of the length of the Americas to test the latest Ferrari supercar, the 599 GTB Fiorano – its most powerful car ever developed.
