Once a year, Porsche Club of America (PCA) members from across the country gather to compete, socialize, and learn about their cars during the annual Porsche Parade. This year’s event, which was held in Portland, Oregon on August 6-11, featured numerous competitions, including the Shell V-Power Zone Challenge.
The Shell V-Power Zone Challenge matched up teams from the 13 national PCA zones for a “Porsche Triathlon,” which included the "Pit Stop Challenge," a "Porsche Pusher Autocross," and a "Porsche Pull." The winning clubs were awarded Shell gift cards in addition to bragging rights for the next year.
Shell fuels expert John Leon hosted a fuels technology roundtable for attendees where he discussed premium fuels, performance driving, and maximizing your vehicle’s design capabilities, fuel efficiency, and drivability. John led the group in a discussion on understanding alternative fuels and provided background on ethanol blends and how they affect older cars built in the 50’s and 60’s.
